College of San Mateo (CSM) hosts a Farmers Market on Saturday mornings and a free annual jazz festival. The College Heights Stadium at San Mateo College provides the Bulldogs a football stadium, track, field throwing area, softball plaza and baseball field with modern synthetic turf, scoreboards and improved accessibility. The school also has a 50 meter Olympic Pool with adjacent 15 yard Wellness Pool.opened at its current location, a 153-acre site with a panoramic view of the north Bay Area, in 1963 and currently serves approximately 10,000 day and evening students.

The College’s buildings are along a north-south axis provided by the main pedestrian mall. A second mall, running east and west, connects the Fine Arts Center with the Library. In addition to three main lecture halls, the College has a three-building science center, a Planetarium that seats about 100 and an observatory with complex astronomical equipment, an engineering building, a center which houses dental assisting, cosmetology and nursing, and a complex which houses electronics and aeronautics.
