Winter Weather Persists
04/16/2018 SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA – (Patch) — Heavy rain, hail and snow slammed the Bay Area on Monday morning as unusually cold April weather rolled into the region, the National Weather Service reported. Meanwhile, gusty winds and thunderstorm conditions were expected to last for much of the day before passing through.

Some East Bay roadways were coated with hail at about 9:30 a.m. and social media users shared photos of lawns blanketed in hail and one child attempting to sled down the road in Oakland.
