Martin Luther King Community Center is a busy place for local children, featuring classes and events throughout the year.
Coyote Point
Coyote Point has a playground, museum, trails and extends in to the water for fishing, windsurfing, sailing, and kayaking.

Bayside Park & Joinville Pool
With a view of Lagoon Island Park, Bayside Park amenities include a playground, dog park, ball fields, tennis courts, picnic areas, and the seasonal outdoor Joinville Swim Center.

Scuba Diving
Since 1967 Professional Asso. of Diving Instructors (PADI) at Wallin’s Dive Center teach scuba diving in the Elks Lodge Pool and open water for training after completing test at the center or online.
Beresford Park & Recreation Center
Lighted tennis courts, bocce ball courts, a skate park, garden and picnic areas, a community center with classes and more.
Central Park & Recreation Center
The city’s central jewel with a rose garden, mini-train, open space for events and more.
Senior Center
On any given day the Senior Center may host a yoga class, history seminar, bingo, billiards or mahjong.

Bay Meadows Community Park
301 East 28th Avenue – (next to the San Mateo Community Event Center)
Full size soccer field, a restroom facility, picnic facilities, a passive lawn area and a long walking path that loops around the park as well as a large pond that is beautifully landscaped and home to a variety of wildlife.

Parkside Aquatic Park
Parkside Aquatic Park is off of Seal Street in San Mateo and is managed by the City of San Mateo. The sample for this site is collected due east of the playground. This park has restroom facilities. A concession stand and a boat rental company are also located at this park.
