San Mateo Event Center
San Mateo Event Center is enormous. It has 7 buildings and hosts hundreds of events including hundreds of public events each year.
At the beginning of the year it hosts Volleyball tournaments, and Gymnastics Competitions. Throughout the year there are gem and jewelry, fashion and antique shows. When the adult themed San Francisco Body Art Expo® was in the Expo Hall, (touted as the world’s largest tattoo and body art convention with live music, demonstrations, and awards) a completely separate event in the spacious Fiesta Hall hosted the 31st Annual STEM Fair put on by the San Mateo County Office of Education to recognize students in grades 5-12.
In Mid-April the annual Spring Garden Market put on by the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Master Gardeners of San Mateo and San Francisco Counties is in the Sequoia Hall the day before the International Chocolate Festival put on by the San Francisco Chronicle and SFGate in the Fiesta Hall while there is an TICA International Cat Show in the Redwood Hall.
The largest event entirely fills up the 48-acres (192,000+ Sq. Mtr) of the San Mateo Events Center is the Maker Faire. The family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness. Marker Faire features people showing what they are making and learning from computer tech to sewing, and from to whatever can be made tinkering in a garage or shop to massive metal art sculptures.
Mid-June for over 80 years the San Mateo County Fair takes over the events center with live entertainment, competitive events, unique food, arts and educational exhibits, magnificent floral and garden creations, livestock and agricultural exhibits, and an exciting, fun-filled carnival for all ages.
In August is the Aloha Festival with with Pacific Islander music as well as Polynesian dance, arts and crafts vendors, island cuisine, educational exhibits and workshops. In October is the Home Improvement Show and the also the Abilities Show; for the Community of people with disabilities, their families, seniors, veterans and healthcare professionals. In November there is a Harvest Festival, and in December there are Holiday trees for sale and a toy drive.

The largest rentable indoor space is the southern most building at the event center called the Expo Hall which is over 100,000 sq ft (9,662 sq mtr)
Fiesta Hall is directly north of the Expo Hall and 35,680 sq ft (3,315 sq mtr)
The Sequoia Hall is the same size as the Event Pavilion 6,500 sq ft (603 sq mtr)
Cypress Hall is a little big than the Sequoia and Event Pavilion combined.
Redwood Hall is slightly smaller then Cypress Hall at 14,000 sq ft (1,300 sq mtr)
There is also a Board Room at 660 sq ft (61 sq mtr) that can be rented.
